Due to not being very good with people, the recluse Aoi Yukimura engulfs herself in her cute item collection hobby.
Encouraged by her mother, she goes out to the local library, and on her way back Aoi remembers a childhood memory of a dear friend, but can't exactly recall who was it.
In her first day in high school, a cheerful and loud girl greets her: her childhood friend, Hinata.
Hinata reminds Aoi of their promise of climbing a mountain, but due to Aoi being afraid of heights, she only agrees to climbing the local hill.
After climbing hills and small mountains, Aoi strengthens her bond with Hinata and even makes new mountain climbing friends.
With her new hobby and supportive companions, Aoi sets up to conquer her fear of heights, climb a big mountain and see the Milky Way in the sky!
