Black Cat and To LOVE-Ru were written by the same mangaka.

Conserning the "yandere" tag on Kurumi, it's true that she is not. However, there is another archetype that represents Kurumi: "yangire". It's basically a character with the same psychotic/demented personality with a cute appearance, BUT their motivation is NOT love.

Well, I wouldn't say the anime of Blade Dance sucked, but they did skip a few important scenes, which decreased the amount of serious/promising moments; i still enjoyed the anime nonetheless, even if the LN is, of course, much much better.
As for the world, based on me watching both seasons of DaL and reading 4n'half Volumes of STnBD, i'd choose BD. While DAL has Kurumi, Origami and Kotori, the death chances are higher whether you are a civilian or a fighter, than in BD. Plus BD still has bEst girl, Rinslet and Fianna, so it's also good in girls-matter. (view post)

I know that Diarmuid is very powerful, but Sydonay can quite easily win, even without his transformations.
Sydonay is already very strong and intelligent as it is, but considering he can teleport, regenerate, fly & shoot giant fireballs, it's already pretty damn strong. Plus, his lance is both unbentable and unbreakable, and can change sizes.
Add in the fact that he can still tranform (just not into big monsters), and there you have your winner. A mere curse won't kill him.
Finally, Diarmuid is powered by mana; after a while, his mana gauge will be empty and bye-bye. (view post)

Blade Dance is so much better in your average Ecchi/Harem anime, because is has development, backstories, a plot that doesn't suck, and comedy not solely focused on mindless fanservice.

This VS is interesting, but also very unfair. Both quadras are OP in their own respective anime worlds. However, the world of Naruto is much much stronger than the world of Shakugan no Shana. So, the 4 Hokages win for sure. I think that if the level of both worlds and all powers were the same, the 4 Gods could stand a chance and win, but otherwise, nope. (view post)
